She is extremely professional, truly lovers her dogs, and is very knowledgeable about the breed. Her dogs are great examples of correct Olde English bulldog structure and true breed personality - sound, confident, and well balanced.

Last year we found Ms. Karen and that is how we got our girl Willow. A few weeks ago, we sadly lost our other dog, so I reached out to Ms. Karen again. For our luck, she had a litter born on the same day we lost our dog, so I took it as a sign. Once again, Ms. Karen was absolutely wonderful! We got Fiona last weekend, and she has already brought so much happiness into our home. Willow and Fiona bonded right away! Just like Willow, Fiona is in perfect health, and you can already tell she has an amazing personality.

I have gotten two dogs from Blackhorse Bulldogs - An Old English Bulldog in 2021 and a French Bulldog last month (October 2025). The experience with Blackhorse Bulldogs is truly amazing. From the moment you select your pup you enter Karen’s Bulldog family. She is available to counsel you on all aspects of dog ownership. Her dogs are physically beautiful, structurally sound and I have not had any serious health issues at all. The OEB are bred to be physical and yet super sweet. In reference to our OEB, our vet has remarked many times over the years that he “has never seen a bulldog like this.” If you are in the market for an OEB or Frenchie I highly recommend Blackhorse Bulldogs.

My wife and I lost a boxer that we adored about a year ago. My wife refused to get another dog after the pain we felt. I knew we were missing something and I continued to look and research puppies. We also have a 10 year old OEB that we love and decided instead of looking into the boxer route I was going to look for another OEB. After going down a rabbit hole of research I came to Karen’s page and was very impressed by what she presented and after speaking with her I knew she was the right breeder. I saw my little Ozzy and jumped on a plane to get him. Karen not only educated me on her dogs she helped me throughout the process of getting my new baby into my home. We found our special bulldog at Blackhorse. Several years ago. She has been a special pet for us. Super loyal, good with children, healthy , strong and superior coat and bone structure. Everyone loves this animal and she continues to run the house. Thanks so much for breeding such a great friend.

This is my second review - 2 years later. Our Eugene is such a happy, loving fur baby. Karen is great to work with- always open communication. We share many life celebration photos of Eugene with her. Our vet absolutely loves to see him, she says he’s a perfect Frenchie- health, size & personality!

In 2021, we found Karen and got our boy Milo. He has been an incredible boy and extremely healthy! We were concerned about health due to his breed, but Karen is incredible in her care for the dogs, and our boy has been nothing but healthy and happy! Even four years later we contact her with questions about our boy Milo, and she has been nothing but helpful. Her genuine care and concern for the dogs is clear throughout their lives!

She was so great, and our boy so wonderful, that we recently got another pup from her. Our girl has been such a joy and we are so lucky to have her.
